Job summary

Conner Prairie is seeking a Festivals Project Manager to lead planning and execution of major events including History on Tap, Jupiter Flights, Headless Horseman, and A Merry Prairie Holiday. The role requires coordinating cross-department teams, creating SOPs, and ensuring smooth operation from setup to tear-down.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Hospitality, Event Planning, Museum Studies or related field, plus strong organizational skills for managing complex schedules

• Ability to manage complex projects and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee festival operations and cross-department planning.
• Set up and tear down events; maintain schedules and timelines.
• Develop operations plans and staff trainings for each festival.
• Coordinate with other divisions to ensure consistent communications.
• Oversee procurement of operating supplies across festival budgets.
• Recruit and supervise contracted performers and scare team staff.
• Manage costumes and props storage and maintenance.
• Participate in cross-department planning to refresh events.
• Streamline internal planning processes for efficiency.
• Act as PIC for select events.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Theater, Hospitality, Event Planning, Museum Studies or similar field
