Job summary

Sundance Institute is seeking a Festival Associate Manager, Safety & Security in Boulder, CO. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role supports the 2027 Sundance Film Festival with venue safety, evacuation planning, incident management, and security operations.

The position is onsite in Boulder with hybrid scheduling and extended festival hours. Responsibilities include leading security updates, coordinating with vendors, training staff, and delivering wrap reports.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in the security industry or related work experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license and MVR background check.
• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage varying security and safety situations during the 2027 Sundance Festival.
• Implement and communicate operational safety and security elements for the 2027 Festival.
• Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and respond to on-call needs.
• Maintain clear and concise communication with internal staff, security vendors, and external stakeholders.
