Job summary

National Cherry Blossom Festival, Inc. offers two photography internship positions to document and visually narrate the 2027 Festival.

You will work with the Marketing & Communications team to capture high‑quality event photos, manage asset organization, and develop presentations that showcase the Festival’s branding and storytelling. You will gain hands-on experience across Signature Events, community programs, and partnerships, with on-site duties, flexible scheduling across Fall 2026 and

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university or college (undergrad or graduate).
• Candidate studying photography or related field with portfolio showcasing visual storytelling.
• Experience operating a DSLR in varied environments.
• Proficient in photo editing with Adobe Photoshop; MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in photo management systems similar to SmugMug.

Responsibilities

• Work with Marketing & Communications Team to meet event visual objectives and branding.
• Capture a variety of on-site and event photos, including Signature Events and community programs.
• Create and manage a detailed shot list to align with branding and visuals.
• Communicate coverage needs and asset requests promptly.
• Organize and upload photographs to the Festival’s photo gallery and management system.
• Apply consistent file naming, keywords, and tags for asset searchability.
• Perform basic photo editing, cropping, color correction, resizing, and optimization.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations showcasing photographs for campaigns and initiatives.
• Source imagery for ongoing campaigns and marketing collateral.
