Job Title:Lawn Maintenance Fertilizer Technician

Location:Grand Rapids, MI and surrounding suburbs

Job Type:Full-Time / Seasonal

Compensation:$22–$29.50 per hour (based on experience) + performance bonuses

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedLawn Maintenance Fertilizer Technicianto join our growing team. This role is responsible for applying fertilizer, weed control, and other lawn treatment products to residential and commercial properties while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care treatments according to company standards and safety regulations


• Diagnose lawn issues such as weeds, pests, and disease, and recommend appropriate treatments


• Operate and maintain application equipment and service vehicles


• Ensure accurate service documentation and maintain customer records


• Communicate professionally with customers regarding services performed and recommendations


• Follow all state and federal safety guidelines and label instructions


• Assist with general lawn maintenance tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Previous lawn care or fertilizer application experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)


• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record


• State pesticide applicator license (or ability to obtain within specified timeframe)


• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions


• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day


• Strong attention to detail and time management skills


• Excellent customer service and communication skills
