Job summary

AgVantage FS in Chapin, IA is seeking a Coord, Facility Ops to lead fertilizer/chemical facility operations and oversee blending, inventory, and asset maintenance. The role requires CDL, strong leadership, and customer-focused service. This is a full-time on-site position with growth opportunities.

You will collaborate with location managers, crop specialists, and the sales team to coordinate dispatch, scheduling, and safety compliance in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in an applicable field and 3+ years in fertilizer facility operations.
• Ability to manage inventory and assist with blending and maintenance.
• Strong business knowledge, collaboration, and customer-focused mindset.
• Excellent leadership and organizational abilities.
• Able to close sales calls and provide agronomic solutions.
• Valid CDL with endorsements and clean driving record; willingness to work extended hours.
• Willingness to work in extreme weather and comply with safety policies.
• Familiarity with GROWMARK agronomy facility operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service, billing information, and invoicing to maintain accuracy.
• Operate and maintain facility equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist Plant Manager with fertilizer, inventory, and month-end procedures.
• Operate blending and loading/unloading equipment for trucks.
• Coordinate dispatch for dry and liquid facilities.
• Support sales with prospective accounts and upgrades in off-season.
• Maintain facility appearance and a safe work environment.
• Back up custom applicator duties as needed.
