US Fertility is seeking a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join Shady Grove Fertility in Stony Point, Virginia. The position offers high-volume phlebotomy, patient care, and lab coordination within a nationally respected fertility network.

The role requires phlebotomy skills, a high school diploma, and completion of an MA program (preferred). Excellent communication and teamwork are essential as is compassionate patient support.

Qualifications

• Strong phlebotomy skills required.
• High School diploma.
• Completion of a formal MA program; preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy and speed with computer applications.
• Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform high volume of phlebotomy.
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations.
• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Provide patient/couple counseling and procedure teaching; follow physician orders.
• Provide pre and post-op education.
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance.
• Enter labs and print labels in the computer.
• Offer compassionate emotional support to patients and families.
• Work independently to achieve program goals.
• Support and promote excellence in customer service.
