Job summary

US Fertility in California is seeking a Medical Assistant / Patient Services Specialist to support the Reproductive Science Center of the San Francisco Bay Area, floating between San Mateo and Menlo Park. This role offers a rotating schedule, competitive hourly pay, and a path to growth within a nationally respected fertility network.

You will perform phlebotomy, manage labs, and assist clinicians while delivering compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associates degree preferred
• Completion of a formal MA or Phlebotomy program preferred
• Minimum of one year of MA experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with medical terminology
• 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications; data entry speed is required

Responsibilities

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to the proper labs
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
• Assist physician or ultrasound technician with various procedures
• Assist with HSGs as needed
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients
• Provide patient/couple counseling, procedure teaching, and communicate physician orders and instructions
• Provide pre and post-op education
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and patients' families
• Support and promote excellence in customer service
