Job summary

This is a full-time, in-person role with a Monday–Friday schedule, some 7:00am–3:30pm days,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office.
• Experience with medical records and surgery scheduling preferred.
• Proficient in medical office software and EHR systems.
• Strong computer skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Answer and direct high-volume phone calls with professionalism and warmth.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate surgery scheduling and authorizations.
• Take accurate messages and relay them promptly to the appropriate staff.
• Prepare charge slips and accurately document patient charge tickets.
• Pull, file, and manage patient charts.
• Handle general office tasks including filing, faxing, copying, and scanning.
• Assist medical and administrative staff with day-to-day operations.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service to every patient and visitor.
• Rotate between front desk check-in and switchboard responsibilities as needed.
