Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an experienced Patient Financial Advisor for the Indian Creek Medical Plaza 2 REI clinic. The role focuses on benefit review, pre-certifications, and insurance processing for procedures performed in the office.

You will assist patients with funding options for non-covered fertility cycles and support charge entry, documentation, and billing accuracy within the Rev Cycle team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED required.
• 3+ years experience in financial advising, claims processing, collections or revenue cycle.
• Experience with Epic is preferred; knowledge of CPT-4/HCPCS coding is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Perform benefit verification, pre-certification and prior authorization for patient services.
• Assist patients with benefit review, coding and insurance processing for clinic claims.
• Conduct charge entry and charge review for the REI clinic.
• Provide patients with resources for funding non-covered fertility cycles.
• Update patient accounts and demographics; verify pre-certifications within 1 business day.
• Support Rev Cycle with claim denials and EPIC documentation when requested.
