Job summary

Fawn River Cultivation Company in Constantine, Michigan seeks a Fertigation Lead to support irrigation, nutrient delivery, and plant care across our cannabis cultivation operation.

You will follow SOPs, maintain logs, calibrate sensors, assist with cloning and pruning, and help prepare rooms for harvest while meeting safety and state regulations. This role requires reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21+ years old per state regulation.
• Subject to state background check.
• Weekend coverage required: Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues.
• Must be able to work holidays, overtime, and/or on a flexible schedule.
• Experience with irrigation automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and guidance from Head Grower and team leads.
• Assist with irrigation and fertigation; maintain logs and line flushing between harvests.
• Routine cleaning of water room and irrigation equipment.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency when irrigating.
• Understand and dose nutrient recipes based on plant age and growth phase using automated irrigation system.
• Weekly scheduling guidance provided by Head Grower.
• Calibrate and clean ph/EC probes.
• Use basic hand tools, valves, compressors, clocks/timers.
• Assist cultivation teams with cloning, pruning, and harvest-room prep after irrigation.

Organizational Structure

• Fertigation Leadreports directly to the Head Grower

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Following company SOP's and guidance from team leads and/or head grower
  • Assist with all aspects of irrigation and fertigation including equipment maintenance, maintain all operation and cleaning logs, and line flushing between harvests
  • Routine cleaning of the water room and all equipment used for irrigation
  • Accuracy, consistency, and accountability when irrigating
  • Ability to understand and precisely dose/schedule different nutrient recipes based on age of plants and growth phase using an automated irrigation injection system
    • Direction on weekly scheduling will be provided by the Head Grower
  • Calibration and cleaning of all probes used for ph/EC readings
  • Practical knowledge and comfortability using basic hand tools, valves, compressors, and clocks/timers
  • Assist the cultivation teams when needed with routine tasks such as cloning, pruning, and placing/cleaning/harvesting rooms after all irrigation work is completed

Environmental and Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently move and/or lift a maximum of 50 pounds
• Ability to work for long periods of time in humid, warm environments under artificial lighting
• Ability to stand, sit, move, kneel, and/or bend for extended time periods

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or general education diploma
• Must be at least 21 years old per state regulation
• Subject to a state required background check
• This role requires Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues availability as weekend coverage will be required
• Ability to work holidays, overtime, and/or on a flexible schedule when needed
• Prior experience involving automation with irrigation systems is strongly preferred
  • Extensive onsite training will be provided by employer
• Strong verbal communication skills are preferred
• Adaptability to changing priorities in order to meet company goals
• Ability to problem solve, time manage, and multi-task
• Follow all state and company regulations regarding cannabis practices
