Job summary

Fawn River Cultivation Company is seeking an Irrigation Technician to support our grow operations in Constantine, Michigan. You will assist with irrigation, fertigation, and equipment maintenance while ensuring logs are kept up-to-date and processes follow SOPs.

The role requires basic automation familiarity, strong communication, and the ability to work a Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues schedule, including weekends. On-site work in a humid grow environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old per state regulation.
• Background check may be required.
• Availability Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues; willing to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with irrigation and fertigation; maintain logs and line flushing.
• Clean water room and irrigation equipment; ensure accuracy and dosing.
• Calibrate probes for pH/EC readings; use basic hand tools and valves.
• Support cultivation teams with cloning, pruning, and room setup/cleanup after irrigation.

Organizational Structure

• Fertigation Lead reports directly to the Head Grower

Core Duties And Responsibilities

• Following company SOP's and guidance from team leads and/or head grower
  • Assist with all aspects of irrigation and fertigation including equipment maintenance, maintain all operation and cleaning logs, and line flushing between harvests
  • Routine cleaning of the water room and all equipment used for irrigation
  • Accuracy, consistency, and accountability when irrigating
  • Ability to understand and precisely dose/schedule different nutrient recipes based on age of plants and growth phase using an automated irrigation injection system
    • Direction on weekly scheduling will be provided by the Head Grower
  • Calibration and cleaning of all probes used for ph/EC readings
  • Practical knowledge and comfortability using basic hand tools, valves, compressors, and clocks/timers
  • Assist the cultivation teams when needed with routine tasks such as cloning, pruning, and placing/cleaning/harvesting rooms after all irrigation work is completed

Environmental and Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently move and/or lift a maximum of 50 pounds
• Ability to work for long periods of time in humid, warm environments under artificial lighting
• Ability to stand, sit, move, kneel, and/or bend for extended time periods

Requirements And Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or general education diploma
• Must be at least 21 years old per state regulation
• Subject to a state required background check
• This role requires Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues availability as weekend coverage will be required
• Ability to work holidays, overtime, and/or on a flexible schedule when needed
• Prior experience involving automation with irrigation systems is strongly preferred
  • Extensive onsite training will be provided by employer
• Strong verbal communication skills are preferred
• Adaptability to changing priorities in order to meet company goals
• Ability to problem solve, time manage, and multi-task
• Follow all state and company regulations regarding cannabis practices
