Job summary

Fawn River Cultivation Company in Constantine, Michigan, is seeking a Fertigation Lead to support irrigation and fertigation operations under the Head Grower. You will assist with automation, calibrate sensors, maintain logs, and help the cultivation team with routine tasks including cloning and pruning.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are 21+, can pass a background check, and are available Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues with weekend coverage, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or general education diploma.
• Must be at least 21 years old per state regulation.
• Subject to a state required background check.
• This role requires Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues availability as weekend coverage will be required.
• Ability to work holidays, overtime, and/or on a flexible schedule when needed.
• Prior experience involving automation with irrigation systems is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of irrigation and fertigation including equipment maintenance, maintain all operation and cleaning logs, and line flushing between harvests.
• Routine cleaning of the water room and all equipment used for irrigation.
• Accuracy, consistency, and accountability when irrigating.
• Ability to understand and precisely dose/schedule different nutrient recipes based on age of plants and growth phase using an automated irrigation injection system.
• Calibration and cleaning of all probes used for ph/EC readings.
• Practical knowledge and comfortability using basic hand tools, valves, compressors, and clocks/timers.
• Assist the cultivation teams when needed with routine tasks such as cloning, pruning, and placing/cleaning/harvesting rooms after all irrigation work is completed.

Organizational Structure

• Fertigation Leadreports directly to the Head Grower

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Following company SOP's and guidance from team leads and/or head grower
  • Assist with all aspects of irrigation and fertigation including equipment maintenance, maintain all operation and cleaning logs, and line flushing between harvests
  • Routine cleaning of the water room and all equipment used for irrigation
  • Accuracy, consistency, and accountability when irrigating
  • Ability to understand and precisely dose/schedule different nutrient recipes based on age of plants and growth phase using an automated irrigation injection system
    • Direction on weekly scheduling will be provided by the Head Grower
  • Calibration and cleaning of all probes used for ph/EC readings
  • Practical knowledge and comfortability using basic hand tools, valves, compressors, and clocks/timers
  • Assist the cultivation teams when needed with routine tasks such as cloning, pruning, and placing/cleaning/harvesting rooms after all irrigation work is completed

Environmental and Physical Demands

• Ability to frequently move and/or lift a maximum of 50 pounds
• Ability to work for long periods of time in humid, warm environments under artificial lighting
• Ability to stand, sit, move, kneel, and/or bend for extended time periods
