Employees perform responsible work on board U.S. Coast Guard certified vessels, under supervision, focusing on safety related to passenger and vehicle loading/unloading, maintenance of deck and equipment, and enforcement of safety regulations. Duties may include shore tasks and other responsibilities as assigned.

Work is based out of the Hatteras Ferry Operations, with a shift schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. Dormitory housing may be available during shifts.
Applicants must present a valid TWIC and USCG Merchant Mariners Credential, including a current medical card, at the interview.
