Job summary

Guest Services seeks a Captain to direct ferry activities and operate the vessel safely, serving as the onboard liaison with USCG for regulations. The role administers training, conducts drills, and ensures high levels of customer service onboard.

The Captain will supervise safe docking, embarkation signage and crowd control, while maintaining logs and coordinating with management and staff across a variety of sites managed by Guest Services.

Qualifications

• Current and valid USCG License and TWIC card required.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Previous dock/marina experience preferred.
• Ability to work remotely with little direct supervision.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others.
• Small boat handling skills, passenger vessel experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a passenger vessel and boating areas.
• Dock vessel to docks, piers, ships and moorings.
• Maintain positive communication with client crew.
• Oversee passenger embarkation/debarkation safety and operation.
• Assist in crowd control and admissions verification; maintain logs.
• Interact with customers and management professionally.
• Provide dock hand support for waterfront operations.
