Job summary

Guest Services is seeking a Captain to direct ferry operations and ensure safe, efficient vessel management. You will act as the primary onboard liaison with USCG, overseeing training, drills, and regulatory compliance while delivering high levels of service to passengers.

The role blends naturalist narration with deckhand responsibilities, and may include six-pack tours without a Naturalist when narration is required. Requires USCG license and physical ability to perform demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires valid USCG license and TWIC.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Experience at docks/marinas preferred.
• Must lift up to 75 lbs.
• Excellent customer service and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a passenger vessel.
• Docking and tying vessels to docks, piers, and moorings.
• Communicate professionally with clients and crew.
• Oversee embarkation and debarkation safety.
• Maintain logs and records.
• Perform maintenance on marine equipment.
• Assist with waterfront operations.
