Scheels in Johnstown, CO, is seeking an entry-level ride/operator associate to run the attraction safely and professionally. You will guide guests, ensure their safety, collect payments, and maintain equipment and the surrounding area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operates the attraction according to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintains full attention on operation while moving.
  • Informs customers to fasten belt and bar and stay secured before start.
  • Direct customers on entering/exiting the attraction safely.
  • Monitors equipment and reports safety or mechanical issues immediately.
  • Keeps the area clean and free from debris and spills.
  • Collects and processes payments from customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates the attraction according to safety guidelines and company procedures
  • Knowledgeable of all control, loading, balancing, safety, and emergency operating procedures
  • Must maintain full attention on the attraction operation at all times when it is moving
  • Informs the customer to fasten the belt and bar and ensure they are secure before starting the ride
  • Direct customers on how to enter and exit the attraction safely
  • Monitors the condition of the equipment and the operation of all moving parts at all times and reports any safety or mechanical issues immediately
  • Ensures the area is kept clean and free from debris and spilled liquids
  • Collect and process payments from customers
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school education,or up to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

*Candidate must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

This role requires frequent ascending and descending of stairs while performing daily job responsibilities. Employees must be able to regularly use stairs multiple times per shift

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Hours: Average of 15-20 hours per week
  • The Shift: Includes a mix of opening shifts (Between 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM) and potentially a few closing shifts (5:00 PM - 9:00PM).
  • Weekends: Minimum of every other weekend (Saturdays between 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Sundays 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
  • Pay: The hourly rate posted is a base hourly wage of $18.00/HR.
