Job summary

Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows is seeking a Clubhouse Coordinator to oversee daily operations at the Fernley Clubhouse. You will ensure delivery of high-quality programs, lead staff and volunteers, and maintain a safe, well-managed environment for youth and families.

You will serve as a primary contact for families, support compliance and resource management, and represent the Club within the community while promoting program quality and youth development outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of three years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that site staff deliver programs per Quality standards with direction and support.
• Represent the Club by communicating mission, objectives and opportunities to families.
• Recruit and register new members and families, promote participation in programs.
• Develop positive relationships with parents, civic groups, schools and social agencies.
• Regularly evaluate and audit program quality and objectives.
• Recruit, manage, and support staff through onboarding and performance management.
• Provide oversight regarding member behavior and needs.

As the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates its 50th Anniversary of serving our community, we are looking for a Clubhouse Coordinator to help oversee daily site operations at our Fernley Clubhouse location. This role would ensure the delivery of high-quality programs aligning with Club standards and youth development outcomes, provide leadership to staff and volunteers, maintain a safe and well-managed clubhouse environment, serve as a primary contact for families, and represent the Club within the community while ensuring compliance, resource management, and program quality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that site staff are consistently delivering programs in accordance with Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows Program Quality standards by providing direction and support
• Represent the Club by communicating the mission, program objectives, and scope of opportunities available for families and members
• Actively recruit and register new members and families, and promote consistent member participation in Club programs
• Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with parents, local civic groups, school district partners, and social agencies within the community
• Regularly evaluate and audit the overall quality and objectives of programs
• Recruit, manage, and support staff through effective onboarding, performance management, and career development
• Provide oversight and direction regarding member behavior and needs

Schedule

• This is a full-time, on-site job. Work hours include weekday before and after-school programs and all-day care during school breaks.
• The schedule is balanced, with time set aside for planning, training, and administrative tasks outside of program hours.
• There will be occasional required hours on evenings and/or weekends for special events and family activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum of three years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs to youth and teens or a combination of education and relevant experience.

• Able to produce and provide data/reports in a timely manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Must be able to perform duties which require walking, talking, hearing, standing, sitting, and/or bending for long periods of time. May occasionally be required to kneel, run and/or climb.
• Must be able to use hands and arms to enter data into the computer, use the telephone and other office equipment.
• Must be able to perform surface and deep cleaning appropriately using potentially hazardous cleaners including bleach, as needed.
• Must be able to lift, move, manipulate and or hold objects up to 45 pounds. Objects that exceed the 45-pound weight limit require additional assistance when moving, lifting or manipulating.
