Job summary
A biotechnology company in San Diego is looking for an Associate in the Process Development group to support fermentation processes and purification development. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field. Responsibilities include laboratory support, operating fermentation equipment, and executing experimental protocols. Strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. This role is key for developing internal and external protein products.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a relevant field with industry experience.
Some laboratory experience involving purification and/or fermentation is ideal.
Experience in industrial biotechnology R&D is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Daily laboratory support including experiment execution and documentation.
Operation and maintenance of fermentation bioreactors and AKTA chromatography systems.
Conduct recovery, clarification, chromatography, and filtration of protein products.
