DSJ Global seeks a Fermentation Process Engineering Manager to lead fermentation operations, drive process optimization, and advance continuous improvement across a large-scale production environment.

The role partners with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and R&D to enhance manufacturing performance, support scale-up activities, and execute capital investments. Leadership of engineering staff and collaboration across functions are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biological Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 7+ years of fermentation/bioprocessing/manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience with large-scale continuous or batch manufacturing processes.
• Strong background in process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead fermentation process optimization and performance improvement initiatives.
• Drive increases in yield, throughput, reliability, and product quality.
• Support new product introductions, process scale-up, and commercialization activities.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to troubleshoot process issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and capital investments.
• Develop and mentor engineering and technical personnel.
