Job summary

Zoetis is seeking a fermentation associate to perform tasks related to the fermentation of active biological ingredients in Lincoln, Nebraska. You will learn basic microbiological techniques, follow SOPs, and operate essential equipment while maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Responsibilities include reading results, maintaining documentation, and participating in GMP training. The role requires reliable attendance and flexibility for weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Familiarity with Windows.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment.
• Understand and comply with safety SOPs and procedures (MSDS guidelines, PPE, biohazard training).
• Demonstrate reliability in attendance and punctuality.
• Learn and understand basic microbiological techniques to prepare and maintain cultures, including inoculating, inactivating, harvesting and dispensing product.
• Learn and comply with SOPs and documentation to perform job functions.
• Train in GMPs and demonstrate understanding and compliance.
• Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills within and outside the department.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations and metric conversions.
• Read and report test results using scientific instruments.
• Operate and maintain equipment like fermentors, seed isolators, centrifuges, and filtration units.
• Assist with documentation such as process worksheets and log sheets.
• Complete supplementary duties as assigned by supervision.
