Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. seeks a Technician II in Process R&D to conduct laboratory-scale fermentation studies supporting research, development, and manufacturing.

You will operate bioreactor systems, prepare cultures, collect samples, and maintain rigorous data records. The role requires collaboration across shifts and projects, adherence to SOPs and safety standards, and the ability to troubleshoot and improve processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience following documented procedures and maintaining accurate laboratory records.
• Experience in microbiology, fermentation, biotechnology, or related lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory-scale fermentation experiments to support R&D and manufacturing.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain fermentation equipment.
• Prepare seed cultures, media, reagents, and materials for fermentation studies.
• Record observations and data, following SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate across multiple projects and shifts to ensure successful experiments.
