Job summary

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, and health & biosciences, seeks a manufacturing professional for Beloit, WI. The role operates fermentation and downstream recovery equipment on a 12-hour rotating schedule, with strict adherence to SOPs and batch records.

You will collect samples, document observations, and coordinate daily production with cross-functional teams. You will collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, QA and Site Leadership to maintain safety, compliance, and efficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Commitment to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards and safe work practices.
• Associate degree or higher in a scientific, technical, engineering, or related discipline.
• Three+ years in manufacturing/biotech/chemical processing or related environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
• Ability to review and maintain production documentation and records.
• Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, work at height, and lift up to 55 lbs.
• Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating schedule and wear PPE including respirators.

Responsibilities

• Operate fermentation and downstream recovery equipment across batch processes.
• Prepare processing equipment per SOPs including setup, media prep, cleaning, sanitization, packaging.
• Collect and document process samples for lab analysis and quality.
• Execute manufacturing batches per batch records and document observations.
• Maintain and complete production documentation and records.
• Coordinate daily production by prioritizing schedules and equipment availability.
• Support continuous improvement for process optimization and manufacturing performance.
• Ensure equipment reliability by initiating maintenance work orders.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, QA and Site Leadership to ensure safe, compliant operations.
