Job summary

IFF is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead logistics and supply chain activities at our Beloit, Wisconsin site. This onsite role focuses on safe, efficient, and reliable operations to support a world-class manufacturing environment.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, QA, and Quality Control to resolve scheduling and production challenges, while promoting safety, continuous improvement, and team growth. A strong leader with manufacturing experience will excel here.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field with 3–5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; or high school diploma with 5+ years of large-scale manufacturing experience.
  • Strong leadership experience in manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, production, or operations.
  • Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and drive effective solutions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across functions and levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Commitment to safety and environmental, health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead logistics, warehousing, materials management, inventory, and distribution to support production.
  • Serve as liaison between operating area and Site Leadership Team to align priorities and performance.
  • Develop, track, and execute KPIs to drive safety, quality, service, and productivity.
  • Provide coaching, training, and career development support to team members.
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, and GMP compliance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for workflow, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, QA to resolve production challenges and scheduling issues.
  • Ensure compliance with EH&S requirements and site procedures while fostering safety.
  • Support employee engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

The Operations Supervisor role is based in Beloit, Wisconsin (onsite role). Be part of a collaborative, adaptable, solution-oriented, and growth-focused team where together we can achieve greatness and make a real impact.

This role is primarily scheduled Monday through Friday during daytime business hours and supports a continuous 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year manufacturing operation. Flexibility to occasionally work early mornings, evenings, or provide on-call support is required based on business needs.

Where You'll Make a Difference
  • Lead logistics, warehousing, materials management, inventory, and distribution activities to support business and production requirements.
  • Serve as a key liaison between your operating area and the Site Leadership Team, ensuring alignment on priorities, performance, and operational goals.
  • Develop, track, and execute plant and team Key Performance Indicators to drive safety, quality, service, and productivity outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and development support to team members through coaching, training, performance goal setting, feedback, recognition, and career development planning.
  • Drive improvements in operational performance, including equipment reliability, uptime, facility cleanliness, and Good Manufacturing Practices compliance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on workflow optimization, process efficiency, and operational excellence across daily, weekly, and monthly activities.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams to investigate and resolve production challenges, scheduling issues, process disruptions, and equipment-related concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements, site procedures, and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Support employee engagement, team development, and cross-functional collaboration initiatives across the department and site.
What Makes You The Right Fit
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field with 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; or high school diploma with 5 or more years of large-scale manufacturing experience.
  • Experience leading teams in a manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, production, or operations environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to make informed decisions, solve problems, troubleshoot issues, and drive effective solutions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and organizational levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and maintain focus on key objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and promoting compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety standards.
  • Ability and willingness to climb stairs and vertical ladders, work at elevated heights, and lift up to 65 pounds as required.
  • Availability to support a continuous manufacturing operation and provide occasional after-hours support when business needs arise.
How Would You Stand Out?
  • Experience in liquid processing or liquid manufacturing operations.
  • Experience using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning systems and planning and scheduling processes.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Failure Analysis, Process Safety Management, 5S methodology, and World Class Continuous Improvement principles.
