Job summary

Public Citizen’s energy team seeks an analyst to conceive, initiate, and manage research projects on FERC proceedings, LNG exports, and energy policy matters. You will provide research and writing support for regulatory filings, and collaborate to develop reports, memos, op-eds, and blog posts.

The role requires strong analytical thinking and communication skills, the ability to work under tight deadlines, and a willingness to engage with Congress, media, and allied groups to advance energy

Qualifications

• Experience: investigator or opposition researcher, or for legislative/electoral campaigns.
• Skills: analytical thinking, strong written/oral communication, persistence, creativity, and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Identify key FERC proceedings and support regulatory filings.
• Support LNG export DOE applications research/writing.
• Support reports and fact sheets on LNG export impacts.
• Investigate energy policy issues via databases and interviews.
• Produce reports, editorials, and blog posts with team.
• Stay current on energy market policy issues; respond to requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
