Job summary

Berkshire Hathaway Energy seeks a FERC and Energy Markets Compliance Manager to lead compliance with FERC, ISO, and RTO rules and tariffs. The role involves policy analysis, monitoring energy markets, and guiding the business on compliance in energy marketing and scheduling.

Responsibilities include cross-functional coordination, maintaining NERC/CIP knowledge, and supporting the NERC compliance program with procedure updates and evidence tracking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 7+ years in energy industry, with a preference for markets compliance/audit experience.
• Strong understanding of electric industry, energy marketing, scheduling and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with audit principles and compliance management processes.
• Knowledge of FERC enforcement views is a plus.
• Familiarity with NERC reliability standards and CIP.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and recommend policy changes based on market rules and tariffs.
• Monitor ISOs/RTOs (CAISO, MISO, ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, SPP) for compliance and market activity.
• Provide guidance to the business to ensure regulatory compliance in energy marketing and scheduling.
• Coordinate cross-functional deliverables with business units.
• Maintain knowledge of NERC standards and monitor changes.
• Support NERC compliance program including procedures, evidence gathering and tracking.
