Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in the United States seeks a Fence Installation Driver for Reliable Onsite Services to deliver, install, remove, and repair temporary fencing.

You will work with dispatch to provide safe, timely service and top-notch customer support across installations. Responsibilities include operating fencing equipment, performing inspections, coordinating with associates, and meeting customer needs while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• 1 year of truck driving experience required (CDL preferred).
• DOT medical card must be obtained prior to commencing employment.
• 2 years fencing and/or construction industry experience is preferred.
• Diligent safety awareness and knowledge of safe driving procedures.
• Ability to locate utility markings and follow underground safety requirements.
• Ability to operate a forklift (training provided).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to mount and dismount trucks daily.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds, heavier with assistance.
• Work well in all weather conditions; some weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Safely operate a fencing truck daily and ensure load securement.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles.
• Perform pre-use and post-use inspections on tools.
• Ensure truck is loaded with equipment and materials for installations.
• Meet with customers to review fencing projects and follow up.
• Prepare job site for fence installation.
• Set poles, install fence, and pull fence per specs.
• Coordinate work of Fence Installation Associate and inspect progress.
• Train Fence Installation Associate on safety and techniques.
• Repair temporary fencing units at job sites as requested.
• Provide onsite moves and pick-up/delivery of fencing as requested.
• May operate forklift for loading/unloading and movement on site.
