Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is seeking a Female Part Time Spa Therapist who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Spa Therapists shape the guest experience by providing knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned hotel. This position reports to the Director of Spa.

Work authorization for the location is required. Provide relaxing massages and body treatments, maintain a pristine treatment room, and promote retail offerings

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma preferred.
• Current New York State Massage Therapy License.
• Minimum of 3 years of spa massage experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow all standards set by Four Seasons for sequence of service.
• Utilize Book4Time and/or any computerized applications.
• Prepare and maintain a clean, quiet treatment room.
• Keep a neat and stock-free treatment area at end of shift.
• Know the spa areas and inform guests about services offered.
• Perform massages and body treatments as assigned and follow conduct standards.
• Know retail offerings and recommend to guests.
• Provide in-room massages if required by a guest.
• Respond appropriately in hotel emergencies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
• Adhere to meal break policy and payroll procedures.

The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is looking for an Female Part Time Spa Therapist who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our Spa Therapists have the opportunity to shape the guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned hotels. This position reports to the Director of Spa. Work authorization for the location is required.

Basic Purpose

Provide relaxing and thorough massages and body treatments to guests of the Spa that uphold the standards of the Four Seasons Hotel. Complies with any other additional requests that may arise pertaining to Massage Therapist duties.

Essential Functions

• Follow all standards set in place by Four Seasons for sequence of service, etc.
• Able to utilize Book4Time and/or any computerized applications.
• Clean and properly flip the treatment room after each service.
• Maintain and neat and quiet work area at all times.
• Maintain a well-stocked treatment room at the end of each shift.
• Have knowledge of each area of the Spa and Fitness Center and provide information to guests about services offered in the Spa as well as the Hotel.
• Perform all treatments assigned to your shift. Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
• Have knowledge of retail offerings and be prepared to make appropriate recommendations to guests.
• Provide professional massages and body treatments for any guest/resident.
• Provide professional in room massages if required by a guest/resident.Respond appropriately in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Perform others tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
• Adhere to meal break policy and follow proper payroll procedures.

Knowledge And Skills

• Education: High school degree preferred
• Current State of New York Massage Therapy License
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field
• No. of employees supervised: None
• Travel required: None
• Hours required: Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and preferably Thursdays and Saturdays.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

We are looking for individuals who have a knowledge of Spa Therapist operations with good communication skills. Applicants are required to have physical mobility as lifting, walking, bending and moving objects up to 50 lbs. Speaking, writing and reading English is required. Positive attitude and willing to learn is must. 1-2-year experience preferred. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
