Job summary

Award Homecare in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide compassionate in-home care for a client. This is an in-person role with hourly pay of $20 and an ASAP start date; a valid NJ CHHA certification and reliable transportation are required.

You will assist with Activities of Daily Living, provide companionship, monitor health, remind about medications, and support memory care needs.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey CHHA certification required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and maintain a consistent schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and report changes in the client's condition or well-being.
• Assist with medication reminders and administration per care plans.
• Support clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care needs, and other cognitive challenges.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a safe home environment.
• Document care provided accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities as needed.

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide quality in-home care for a client. We need someone who can work. The ideal candidate is dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life and has their own vehicle.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices
• Experience working with individuals with dementia is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively
• Physical ability to assist with transfers and lift up to 50 pounds when required
