Job summary

Award Homecare in Brick Township, NJ is seeking a Female Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for an in-home assignment with a female client. This hourly position requires weekday coverage Tuesday through Friday, 11am to 4pm, with an ASAP start.

Candidate must have CHHA certification and own reliable transportation; a vehicle is preferred. You will assist with ADLs, provide companionship, monitor health, administer medications per care plan, and document care while complying with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey CHHA certification (required).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and maintain a consistent schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and report changes in condition, behavior, or well-being.
• Assist with medication reminders and administration per care plans.
• Support clients with Alzheimer's/dementia and cognitive needs.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Light housekeeping and maintaining a safe home.
• Document care accurately using agency systems while HIPAA compliant.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or activities as needed.

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and reliable Female Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide quality in-home care for a female client. We need someone who can work Tuesday to Friday11am to 4pm . The ideal candidate is dedicated to helping individuals maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life and has their own vehicle.

Requirements

• Assist with medication reminders and administration according to care plans and agency guidelines
• Support clients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, memory care needs, and other cognitive challenges
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe home environment
• Document care provided accurately using agency documentation systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or community activities as needed

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation practices
• Experience working with individuals with dementia is a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans effectively
• Physical ability to assist with transfers and lift up to 50 pounds when required
