Job summary

AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) is seeking a Public Assistance Compliance Specialist to support the FEMA PA grant lifecycle from damage assessment to closeout readiness. The role is remote with up to 25% travel to TN sites; compensation is $26-$32 per hour; you’ll work non-exempt, regular full-time hours and collaborate with applicants, state staff, and internal specialists.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of FEMA PA experience, strong knowledge of Categories A, B and E, and proficiency with

Qualifications

5+ years of FEMA public assistance and grant experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Categories A, B and E.
Experience writing project worksheets (PWs) and supporting FEMA grants.
Experience in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
Strong MS Excel skills and ability to work with grant databases.

Responsibilities

Support applicants through the FEMA PA grant lifecycle from damage identification to closeout readiness.
Conduct site inspections and damage assessments across disaster categories.
Develop and write Project Worksheets in Grants Portal.
Gather and upload supporting documentation (contracts, invoices, photos, etc.).
Coordinate with FEMA, state staff, and internal specialists; respond to RFIs.
