Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Staff Consultant for FEMA in our Government Services Practice. Ideal candidates have FEMA-related program familiarity and experience supporting state/local recovery initiatives in compliance or finance roles.

You will help ensure audit readiness, compliance with FEMA and 2 CFR 200, and assist with complex closeouts across multiple disasters while contributing to client deliverables and business development. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in state/local disaster recovery programs administering FEMA funds.
• Knowledge of FEMA disaster programs, related statutes, regulations, policies and processes, and compliance/financial management functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Disaster Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in maintaining compliance with FEMA regulations and 2 CFR 200, including assessing audit readiness and gaps.
• Assist in expediting closeout of multiple open disasters.
• Support client financial management, time/cost unit operations, and cost tracking.
• Apply knowledge to determine program implementation methods.
• Ensure timely and accurate development of client deliverables.
• Engage in business development, funding opportunities review, and proposal submission.
• Occasionally travel or work extended hours as needed.
