Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Staff Consultant in our Government Services Practice to support FEMA-funded initiatives and associated compliance and financial management activities. The role focuses on understanding FEMA regulations, 2 CFR 200, and supporting complex disaster recovery programs for state and local clients.

The candidate will assist in closeouts, fund tracking, and deliverable development while collaborating with teams across the firm. Some travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in state and/or local disaster recovery programs administering FEMA funds.
• Knowledge of FEMA disaster programs, including related statutes, regulations and policies, and compliance/financial management functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Safety, Emergency Management or Disaster Management.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in maintaining compliance with FEMA regulations and 2 CFR 200, including audit readiness and gaps.
• Assist in expediting complex closeout of multiple open disasters.
• Support client financial management and accounting, including time and cost unit operations and cost tracking.
• Contribute to method selection for program implementation.
• Ensure timely and accurate development of deliverables.
• Engage in business development activities and proposal submissions.
