Job summary

Leland is seeking an experienced fellowship and postdocs programs mentor to guide applicants through competitive fellowships, grants, and postdoctoral positions. You will help with program selection and strategy, identify research opportunities, and refine proposals and publications.

Mentors also guide personal statements, essays, letters of recommendation, and resume review with interview prep and networking strategy.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience navigating fellowship, grant, or postdoc applications.
• Coaching or mentoring experience to guide clients through candidacy.
• Structured approach to helping clients present strongest applications.
• Comfort delivering sessions virtually and coordinating with a team.

Responsibilities

• Guide applicants through the full fellowship/postdoc application process.
• Provide strategy and feedback on proposals, essays, and letters of recommendation.
• Conduct virtual mentoring sessions and interview prep.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality client experiences.

We're seeking an experienced fellowship & postdocs programs mentor to work with applicants pursuing competitive fellowships, grants, and postdoctoral positions. This role includes helping clients with program selection and application strategy, identifying research opportunities and research funding, and refining research proposals and research publications. Mentors also guide clients through the full application, including personal statement, statement of purpose, fellowship essays, secondary essays, letters of recommendation, and resume review, as well as interview prep and interviews, networking strategy, financial aid & scholarships, grant writing, and waitlist strategy. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience navigating fellowship, grant, or postdoc application processes, prior coaching or mentoring experience, and a clear, structured approach to helping clients present their strongest candidacy. Mentors set their own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and partner with our team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every client.
