Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department of Pathology is seeking a Fellowship Coordinator to administer five fellowship programs (3 ACGME-accredited, 2 unaccredited) and support the Program Director in ensuring compliance with CUGME policies and ACGME requirements. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 1 year of professional residency/fellowship coordination experience.
  • Senior level requires 2 years of residency/fellowship coordination experience; advanced degree may substitute.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, scheduling, and exit processes for fellows, residents, and learners.
  • Maintain program data and documentation (MedHub, evaluations, rotation schedules, accreditation).

Job Summary

The Department of Pathology is seeking a Fellowship Coordinator who will be responsible for the day - to - day administration of five Fellowship training programs (3 ACGME-accredited, 2 unaccredited). Assist the Program Director in ensuring that the training programs are in full compliance with CUGME Office policies and procedures, as well as relevant institutional policies and procedures, ACGME program requirements and regulations, and relevant professional standards and criteria are met. Assist the Program Director in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer daytoday operations for five pathology fellowship programs, ensuring compliance with ACGME, CUGME, and institutional policies.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, scheduling, and exit processes for fellows, residents, medical students, and visiting learners.
  • Maintain program data and documentation, including MedHub records, evaluations, rotation schedules, and accreditation requirements.
  • Support Program Directors in monitoring program quality, preparing accreditation materials, and maintaining continuous compliance.
  • Manage fellowship recruitment cycles, including application review, interview scheduling, virtual interview facilitation, and ranking processes.
  • Track fellowship budgets, process expenses, and coordinate with the Business Manager and Program Directors on funding allocations.
  • Assist with planning and executing fellowship events, including graduation and other program activities throughout the year.
  • Other duties as assigned
Work Location

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO for initial training with the option to move to a hybrid schedule once the candidate becomes fully operational

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Intermediate

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 1 year of professional experience with residency and/or fellowship coordination

Senior

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 year of professional experience with residency and/or fellowship program coordination
    • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
    • An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a graduate medical education environment and/or previous experience concurrently coordinating multiple Fellowship training programs.

Competencies:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:

  • Intermediate: $48,989 to $65,645
  • Senior: $52,961 to $70,968

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
