Job summary

Albuquerque Cat Clinic in Albuquerque, NM seeks a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our feline-exclusive team dedicated to exceptional patient care.

The role includes dental prophylaxis, anesthesia monitoring, pain management, venipuncture and radiography, with emphasis on compassionate client service. AAFP Cat Friendly/Fear Free certification preferred and 3+ years RVT experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Veterinary Technology and current licensure required.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working as an RVT (required).
• AAFP Cat Friendly and/or Fear Free certification and handling techniques (required).
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted and stand or sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, anesthesia monitoring and pain management with precision.
• Venipuncture, IV catheter placement and digital radiography.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Covetrus Pulse.

• A diploma in Veterinary Technology and current licensure (required)

• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and digital radiography


• Knowledge of DEA and OSHA compliance standards and protocols


• Proficiency maintaining electronic medical records using practice management software, Covetrus Pulse


• Ability to provide compassionate, kind, and professional client service and education


• Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail in all aspects of patient care


• Ability to lift 40 lbs. unassisted, and to stand or remain seated for extended periods of time


• Salary: $17.00–$22.00/hr. commensurate with experience
