Job summary

Meadows Cat Hospital in Issaquah, WA, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for our feline-only practice. You will work with our four-doctor team to support veterinarians in exams, diagnostics, and client communication.

You’ll assist with phlebotomy, radiology, lab work, and patient care while learning and growing in a collaborative environment. Previous vet experience is preferred but not required, and a four-day work week is offered.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary experience strongly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively handle and restrain feline patients.
• Support veterinarians and the medical team during appointments and treatments.
• Apply knowledge of preventive care and vaccines.
• Obtain diagnostic radiographs.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect diagnostic samples.
• Run in-house laboratory testing.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and teammates.
• Document patient care and client interactions accurately and succinctly.
• Assist with front desk responsibilities and other day-to-day hospital needs.
• Continue learning and developing skills as part of a collaborative team.
