Meadows Cat Hospital, a feline-only veterinary practice in downtown Issaquah, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our four-doctor team. You will contribute to patient care, assist veterinarians, and learn phlebotomy, radiology, and lab work in a supportive environment.

Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required. We offer a four-day work week, competitive pay at $20.00–$23.00 per hour, benefits including medical, dental, and vision, 401(k) matching, and professional

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary experience strongly preferred, but not required.
• Comfort with or willingness to learn safe and effective feline handling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail when documenting patient care and client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively handle and restrain feline patients.
• Support veterinarians and the medical team during appointments and treatments.
• Apply knowledge of preventive care and vaccines.
• Obtain diagnostic radiographs.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect diagnostic samples.
• Run in-house laboratory testing.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and teammates.
• Document patient care and client interactions accurately and succinctly.
• Assist with front desk responsibilities and other day-to-day hospital needs.
• Continue learning and developing skills as part of a collaborative team.
