Job summary

Fehrer is seeking a Quality Liaison in Duncan, SC to ensure parts meet customer standards and to communicate issues to Quality Engineers and Managers. The role involves identifying nonconforming material, reworking it, and reporting findings to the plant.

SUMMARY:The Quality Liaison checks parts for conformance to customer standards. When defects are found the Liaison reworks parts and report back to the plant of issues found. The Customer Quality Liaison is the face of Fehrer and is required to represent Fehrer with the highest standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Check parts for conformance to customer standardsCommunicate quality issues to Quality Engineer, and Quality Manager in a timely mannerIdentify nonconforming materialRework nonconforming materialCheck with Customer Representatives daily pertaining to any issues or concerns they may haveHelp train proxy to fill in if he/she is absentSort material line side or at Customer warehouse if neededConduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies. Understand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the quality function. This would include: IATF, ISO, and TISAXFollow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. One to three years of experience in manufacturing is required. Experience in assembly is strongly preferred. Must also possess a working knowledge of using standard operating procedures or experience using work instructions to perform manufacturing tasks.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common instructional documents and reports. Ability to respond with good verbal and written communication in regards to blue prints and reports.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic math, calibrations and statistics.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
