Job summary

Fehrer is seeking a Quality Liaison in Duncan, SC to ensure parts meet customer standards and to communicate issues to Quality Engineers and Managers. The role involves identifying nonconforming material, reworking it, and reporting findings to the plant.

The candidate will support audits (IATF, ISO, TISAX) and maintain safety practices across the production floor. Strong collaboration with floor supervisors, shift leads, and customer representatives is required, with occasional travel to

SUMMARY:The Quality Liaison checks parts for conformance to customer standards. When defects are found the Liaison reworks parts and report back to the plant of issues found. The Customer Quality Liaison is the face of Fehrer and is required to represent Fehrer with the highest standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Check parts for conformance to customer standardsCommunicate quality issues to Quality Engineer, and Quality Manager in a timely mannerIdentify nonconforming materialRework nonconforming materialCheck with Customer Representatives daily pertaining to any issues or concerns they may haveHelp train proxy to fill in if he/she is absentSort material line side or at Customer warehouse if neededConduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas of risk and develop mitigation strategies. Understand and maintain audit compliance as it relates to the quality function. This would include: IATF, ISO, and TISAXFollow all safety protocols and guidelines established by the company. Encourage safe practices and a safety-first mindset among coworkers.Additional duties as needed and assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. One to three years of experience in manufacturing is required. Experience in assembly is strongly preferred. Must also possess a working knowledge of using standard operating procedures or experience using work instructions to perform manufacturing tasks.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common instructional documents and reports. Ability to respond with good verbal and written communication in regards to blue prints and reports.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic math, calibrations and statistics.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Required travel will consist of traveling from plant to plant (Fehrer, Supplier, Customer), including international travel may be required.
