Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Welding and metal fabrication experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, cutting torches, grinders, and welding equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems is preferred.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on feedmill equipment and production lines.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Weld, cut, fabricate, and perform metal repairs.
• Install, replace, and align equipment components as needed.
• Inspect equipment for wear and maintenance needs before failures occur.
• Maintain organized maintenance shop and proper tool storage.
• Support facility maintenance projects across the site as needed.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and service logs.
• Communicate priorities with the Feedmill Manager and crew.
• Follow safety policies and comply with OSHA, EPA, FDA standards.
• Take on additional duties to support operations.
