Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a hands-on press operator to keep the 6 Color Press stocked and running, ensuring materials are on hand and the workspace stays clean and safe. You will follow the flow in the job process and assist with material handling across the line.

The role requires reliable attendance, the ability to perform arithmetic as needed, and willingness to work overtime. Training and development are part of the career path at this global packaging leader.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform intermediate arithmetic involving decimals, fractions, ratios, and similar calculations.
• Must be able to maintain good attendance.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Keep the 6 Color Press supplied with all materials needed to complete jobs and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Return skids, scrap skids, and slip sheets to designated areas.
• Empty shredder bins.
• Assist with hand stripping.
• Ensure skids and shipper boxes are prepared for staged jobs.
• Make notes on the flow chart when jobs are completed.
• Operate motorized lifts.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
