Job summary

Cactus Feeders is seeking a Feed Foreman at the Hale Center Feedyard in Hale Center, Texas. This entry-level management position oversees cattle feed intake, truck productivity, safety, and day-to-day supervision of feed delivery staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating feed and hay deliveries, maintaining trucks and scales, managing budgets, contributing to safety programs, and coaching processing employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in agriculture-related field preferred.
• Strong work ethic and self-starter mentality required.
• Willingness to contribute to agriculture and fed cattle industry.
• Prior knowledge/experience in cattle production segments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cattle feed intake and determine daily feed calls based on intake patterns and cattle type.
• Direct daily feed truck crew to ensure accurate and timely delivery of rations.
• Oversee preventative maintenance on feed trucks, scales, and feeding systems.
• Assist with safety program and daily operating expenditures in the feed delivery department.
• Participate in annual wage reviews and provide coaching and supervision of staff.
