Job summary

NEW Cooperative in Iowa is offering a summer Feed Manufacturing Intern position. You will work in one of our high-tech mills, studying production processes and operating computer-automated systems.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a 4-year degree in agriculture or milling sciences, enjoy problem-solving, and want hands-on learning. The internship includes mentorship, onboarding, project work, and exposure to feed team operations.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, leadership and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pursuing a 4-year college degree in agriculture, precision ag/ag systems technology, or milling sciences.

Responsibilities

• Batch mixing and grinding using computer-automated equipment.
• Operate and regulate PLCs and desktop systems to monitor milling.
• Gather, deliver and implement data to drive company performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance overview.
• Interpret and implement customer formulations and quality guidelines.
• Perform equipment maintenance.
• Schedule and track feed transportation fleet.
