Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking to fill a hands-on role at our Live Oak, Florida feed mill. The incumbent will maintain cleanliness, handle bagged ingredients with a forklift, assist maintenance, and perform duties across the feed manufacturing process, all while upholding safety and FIFO practices.

The role requires physical endurance, the ability to read and write in English, and a flexible schedule. Drug, alcohol, and background checks are conducted for new team members.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the Feed Mill—sweep, mop, wash, and dust as needed.
• Keep grounds clean by mowing, weed eating, and picking up trash and spilled feed.
• Dispose of trash and waste feed to outside containers or trailers.
• Dust beams, equipment, and railings; paint railings and walls as directed.
• Receive bag ingredients using a forklift and arrange for FIFO; tape broken bags.
• Assist maintenance as needed and perform duties of hourly positions in the feed manufacturing process.
• Notify supervisor of equipment or process problems; may work at high altitudes with harness.

Description

Purpose

To produce and deliver maximum quality feed safely and efficiently.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the inside and outside of the Feed Mill at all times. Sweep, mop, wash, and dust as needed.
• Keep all grounds of the Feed Mill clean at all times by mowing, weed – eating, and picking up trash and spilled feed as needed.
• Place trash, waste feed, etc. from the mill into outside container or landfill trailer for disposal.
• Dust beams, equipment, and railings as needed.
• Paint railing, beams, and walls as directed by supervisor.
• Receive bag ingredients into the feed mill warehouse using a fork lift. All bag ingredients should be neatly arranged for counting and to be used on a first-in, first-out basis. Tape all broken bags to prevent spillage and product contamination.
• Assist maintenance as needed to perform different job duties as directed by supervisor.

Job Requirements
