Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Feed Mill Receiving Clerk for the Harrisonburg, VA area on 1st shift. The role involves unloading trains, rail cars, and trucks, loading corn trucks, printing tickets, and maintaining the corn reclaim system.

You may fill in other mill areas as needed and must work well with others in a dusty environment. The position offers a structured schedule, with some weekend work, and a pay rate of $21.75 per hour plus a perfect attendance incentive of $2.00 per hour for perfect

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Able to collaborate with others and work without direct supervision.
• Comfortable working in dusty environments.
• Overtime may be required.
• Punctual with excellent attendance and safety record.
• Ability to operate machinery including a Train locomotive.

Responsibilities

• Unload corn trains; 75–150 cars per week.
• Unload other rail cars; 20–50 per week.
• Unload bulk ingredients trucks; ~20 per week.
• Unload bag ingredients trucks.
• Load out corn trucks.
• Print receiving and load-out scale tickets.
• Keep corn reclaim system running.
• Clean receiving and other areas of the mill.
• Fill in other areas in the mill as needed.
