Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Kentucky is seeking a skilled worker to unload incoming ingredient trucks and manage bins for optimal storage. You will inspect materials, collect samples, and coordinate batching with production teams while adhering to FDA, GMP and QC standards.

The role requires basic math, computer usage, and strong work ethic. Night/weekend availability and lifting up to 50–100 lbs are expected in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (e.g. proportions, percentages, area, volume).
• Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly.
• Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Responsibilities

• Operate auto-receiving system.
• Unload incoming trucks.
• Inspect incoming material verifying condition and quality of product received matches receiving documents.
• Collect feed samples in accordance with sampling plan.
• Ensure bins and storage areas do not overflow.
• Complete and maintain appropriate paperwork and reports.
• Rotate stock.
• Coordinate batching schedule and production with relevant personnel to maximize efficiency and follow FDA, GMP and QC procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Perform routine housekeeping to keep designated areas clean.
• Operate forklift as necessary.
• Comply with company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
