Job summary

WILLIAMS GIN & GRAIN, INC. in Frost, TX seeks an experienced Feed Mill Manager to oversee daily operations from raw material intake to finished feed production.

You will formulate ration, manage schedules, monitor equipment, and ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while supervising staff and coordinating deliveries with suppliers and customers, driving efficiency and cost control across the facility.

Qualifications

• Experience managing feed mill, grain, or agricultural processing operations.
• Knowledge of feed formulations, manufacturing processes, grain handling, quality control practices and safety/regulatory requirements.
• Ability to lead and supervise a team, including training staff and assigning tasks.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills for inventory, documentation and reporting.
• Mechanical aptitude for monitoring equipment performance and coordinating maintenance.
• Effective communication with team, suppliers and customers and clear direction on priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in agriculture/feed science is beneficial.
• Prior experience in agricultural businesses or rural operations is preferred and safety adherence is essential.

Role Description The Feed Mill Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Frost, TX, responsible for overseeing daily feed mill operations from raw material intake through finished feed production. This role formulates ration, manages production schedules, monitors equipment performance, and ensures feed formulations meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The manager supervises and trains feed mill staff, coordinates shift coverage, and promotes safe work practices and housekeeping throughout the facility. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating deliveries with suppliers and customers, and maintaining accurate records of production, maintenance, and compliance activities. The role also involves working with leadership to improve efficiency, control costs, and implement process improvements across the feed mill.

• Effective communication skills for working with team members, suppliers, and customers, and for providing clear direction on operational priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or related college coursework in agriculture, feed science, or industrial management is beneficial.
• Prior experience in agricultural businesses or rural operations is preferred; commitment to safe work practices and adherence to company policies is essential.
