Job summary

JDH is seeking a qualified Industrial Maintenance professional to support maintenance in an automated feed mill environment. You will perform mechanical and electrical tasks, install, demolish, and maintain material handling equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with OSHA safety regulations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year experience in Industrial Maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude including electrical.
Understanding of OSHA/Safety Regulations.
Effective communication skills – both interpersonal and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and prioritize based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Communicate with Plant Manager on needs for parts, supplies and repairs while maintaining enough in stock for normal operations and emergencies.
Follow and perform regular and preventative maintenance schedules on all equipment: motors, bearings, bucket elevators, hydraulics, pumps, compressors, drag and screw augers.
Welding and Fabrication
Understand and maintain feed mill equipment to reduce unplanned break downs.
Rebuild rolls, reducers, gearboxes and other mill equipment.
Maintain hydraulic and electrical equipment.
Report any quality or feed safety problems to Plant Manager.
Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
Other duties as assigned.
