Job summary

JD Heiskell Holdings LLC in Wendell, Idaho, seeks a Feed Mill Maintenance technician to support maintenance of material handling equipment in an industrial plant. The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background and hands-on installation, demolition, and repairs.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot electromechanical systems, and rebuild components such as rolls and gearboxes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude including electrical.
• Understanding of OSHA/Safety Regulations.
• Effective communication skills – both interpersonal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and prioritize based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Plant Manager on needs for parts, supplies and repairs while maintaining enough in stock for normal operations and emergencies.
• Follow and perform regular and preventative maintenance schedules on all equipment: motors, bearings, bucket elevators, hydraulics, pumps, compressors, drag and screw augers.
• Welding and Fabrication
• Understand and maintain feed mill equipment to reduce unplanned break downs.
• Rebuild rolls, reducers, gearboxes and other mill equipment.
• Maintain hydraulic and electrical equipment.
• Report any quality or feed safety problems to Plant Manager.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Indoor/outdoor mill setting with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature changes.
• Fast-paced team environment with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and quality.
• Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, climb 75 feet of ladder, and be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• Regular and predictable attendance in office or site location.
