Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking an Industrial Mechanic in Georgia to repair and maintain all aspects of the feed mill facility. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and handle repairs for plant equipment and systems.

Schedule is Monday–Friday from 2:00 pm–10:00 pm, with weekend on-call duties as needed and other duties as assigned. Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

Reading, general math and writing skills required.
Organized and able to multi-task.
Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of standard/metric measurements.
Minimum 1–2 years industrial maintenance experience.
Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment.
General welding/fabrication knowledge helpful.
Knowledge of low and high voltage electrical systems.
Ability to work overtime including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in varied conditions with PPE.
Ability to work in elevated areas and perform physical tasks (up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

Construct, maintain and test mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts.
Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments.
Interpret drawings of equipment to properly adjust, maintain or repair machinery.
Respond to production requests when mechanical issues are identified.
Communicate with production management to diagnose problems.
Perform preventive maintenance.
Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
Operate forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts and aerial lifts.
Other duties as assigned.
