Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring a Feedmill Maintenance Tech to maximize and maintain machine performance at our Wingate, NC feedmill. This role requires mechanical and electrical capabilities, plus the ability to read English and follow work orders.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting production machinery, performing preventive maintenance, and using tools and meters. Applicants should be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills are preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery.
• Use hand and power tools and meters in daily duties.
• Perform simple machinist tasks and maintenance work.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
• Perform plumbing and carpentry tasks as needed.
• Read equipment manuals and work orders to complete maintenance.
• Follow safety practices and document preventive maintenance activities.
